Meet the Presenter

Stonecipher Farm is a certified organic, small vegetable farm in Bowdoinham. Farmer Ian Jerolmack, purchased the land that is now Stonecipher Farm in 2008 after a lifetime of dreaming and searching for his farm home.

At the time of purchase, the land was just woods, a tired hay field, and nothing else. Fourteen years of hard work and dedication has built a house for Ian and his family, an employee house for his loyal seasonal workers–who come back every year–nine greenhouses and many acres of open fields that produce hundreds of thousands of pounds of organic food per year.

Ian, his wife Emily, and their five children live and are supported by this little hub of food production they have created in Mid-coast Maine where they offer a diverse range of veggies, greens, herbs, berries, ginger and turmeric.

From very humble beginnings, they are proud of all they have accomplished; for keeping this land in agriculture and all the dollars they have moved around Maine by supporting their community with local food.
